It's up now. My HTML skills are a little rusty so it took awhile longer. I figure now that I've got the kinks worked out they should both go up at the same time from now on.

Sorry I haven't got round to it yet, I'll read it tonight. Got to say that I love the style of your HTML document! Cast lists and everything - nice! EDIT: Over on VBC, your show is being nominated as Best Overall Show... may to keep up the good work here, and lets get it the attention it deserves!

Yes Indeed the show is nominated in a few categories as of right now and there could be more. As of now...
Best Male Character in a Drama - Mark Walker (Caydem Falls) Best Female Character in a Drama - Helen Walker (Caydem Falls) Best Overall Show
More nominations could come for Caydem Falls at the very first VBCtv Awards.

I've waites a long time for this to premiere, because the original pilot I read was amazing, and this does not disappoint. I love the fact the show combines two very different genres, and still manages to juggle them round. There's a clear tension throughout, and i found myself fearing for Karl, especially because it's getting so close to the lock-down. The scenes with Amy also provide good tension, and I'm interested to see who this guy is. My initial reaction of Justin is spoiled brat, and the fact he's so against going just makes me think he's stupid, and I won't be surprised if he's the first brother to bite the dust, because he's clearly an idiot. the parents are clearly caring and all he's doing is mistreat them just because he wants to stay with his slag of a girlfriend. Apart from him, all the characters are good - I seriously found myself worrying for Sarah when all Mark hears is a moan! I thought she was a zombie! Thank god she managed to stay locked inside! Overall, a very good pilot, if not TEN's best! I look forward to seeing how the plot plays out throughout the series!

Thanks for the kind words.
All this stuff with Amy sort of came out of the blue for me. When I was first coming up with the series I came up with her character pretty soon after I came up with Karl (who was supposed to be the main lead until it turned into more of an ensemble thing) but I really only had the middle and the end of her character's series arch so all this stuff right now just kind of came out on the fly as I was writing. In the end she became one of my favorite/easiest characters to write for.
I was always kind of worried that people would hate Karl so I was a little surprised to hear you disliked Justin so much. I don't think he's stupid as much as he's just a little blinded by young "love" and you'll learn more and more that the Walker men are pretty damn stubborn once they make up their minds about something. I think he'll redeem himself eventually.

Thank God! I was so bummed when VBC shut down and this show was seemingly gone forever. I checked their site today for the first time in months expecting it to not be there but to my surprise it was. I got scared a bit when I saw that Caydem wasn't their anymore but after some searching I was able to find it here!
Anyway I re-read the Pilot today (blasted through it in one sitting) and it's just as good as I remember. During the downtime I tried getting into a few other series over at MZP but I couldn't really find anything that compared and I can't for the life of me figure out why more people aren't talking about it.
I remember the first time I read the original Pilot I felt the same way as kenobi about Justin but I think he's grown on me. He totally felt selfish and self absorbed but as the series goes on I came to realize that he's sort of the opposite. He was willing to put himself in harm's way to be with the girl he loves. It might have been a really really stupid choice, but like Dex said. That's young love.
Dex, I have no idea why you thought people wouldnt like karl. From the moment Tanya woke him up in that bar I knew he was my favorite character on the show. He sort of reminds me of the Captain on Firefly but a little more subtle. In fact Karls entire storyline sort of reminds me of Firefly. Are you a fan?
I really didn't plan on ranting on like this but I've got to mention Amy before I'm done. Easily my second favorite character after Karl. Even though she doesn't really say much there's still this sort of presence to her that's hard to describe. I think it's the way you portray her as this sort of really emotional character but she's constantly trying to keep those emotions in check that makes her so interesting. Like you just know there's a deeper story behind her.
One last thing before I break into episode Two again. I like the new HTML format options youve got now too. The table of contents thing should make it easier for going back and re-reading episodes. My only complaint is that the text is shifted so far to the left. Any way to fix that?
Keep up the good work! I'll post again when I've finished episode two.
