Yeah, I'll use both. Right now it seems like the program I'm using loses all formatting (italics, bold font) when I go to HTML, but I think I can fix that. Glad you like the graphics!

Good man, Scott! As for me, I'm waiting to catch up on Gifted before I try catching up on another show!

Spoiler Space for DIscussion of Ep 1x01 - - - - - - - - - - - - - Very interesting start. I very much like the way that the major Buffy characters (Giles and WIllow) aren't portrayed as too arrogant to ge concerned about what David is going through or above what's going on in Allenwood-it's just that they literally can't be everywhere. They very much want David to straighten up and fly right-and they certainly would send somebody in better psychological condition than David to Allenwood if they had anybody else. David's problems with them are because David has problems and, hopefully,as he gets his act together, his relationship with them will improve... Kristen is an interesting character-I get the feeling that she's the smarter of the two sisters and that she might well have the potential to become a far greater hero than Erin. I suspect that she's going to have a lot to do just keeping her sister alive-which should be fascinating to watch... This is not to say that i dislike Erin. I do like her-it does seem at this point that becoming a Slayer has probably saved her from what would have been a rather meaningless life. She seems to have a lot of growing to do-hopefully,she can grow into the hero role... I like that the real danger in the town doesn't seem to be the monsters but this perfectly ordanary but very nasty human politician who's learned how to play the supernatural to his own advantage. I don't get the impression he's interested in world conquest-he just wants to maintain his stranglehold on Allenwood. That may make him even more dangerous in some ways than the world conquerors-sometimes the most vicious battles are fought for the littlest stakes... Good to see Lindsay. It's hardly surprising that he was able to beat David- Lindsay is obviously a lot more formidable than David at this point. I am wondering how the amulet travelled from Lindsay to Wolfram and Hart though-I did not get the feeling from Angel Season 5 that Lindsay had ever reconciled with W and H after his departure....
Best wishes,
Scott

My problem is with Allenwood, with not being a Buffyverse fan, is there a chance I'll get lost?

Spoiler Space for Discussion of Ep 1X02 - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jack Reese is a very intriguing villain-I still think he's more interested in dominating Allenwood than world conquest but I must confess that he seems to be going about in a very subtly and clever way. he's quite obviously the real threat (Silas-the first vampire I've ever heard of who has a drug problem in addition to his craving for blood-is pretty obviously a pawn of Jack's with big delusions. I have no doubt that our team can take him. Jack won't be so easy...). It is nice to see Erin start to get her act together. It's still pretty obvious that she's not going to be the brains of the operation but I now feel that there's a chance that,,one day,she might not need her Watcher and her sister to do her thinking for her... I wasn't expecting you to tie in with Season 8 quite so strongly. I am wondering how Faith and Giles's battle with Gigi is going to tie in with what's going on in Allenwood (I don't see Erin taking a trip overseas and I don't see Gigi coming to America-maybe Faith and Giles will check out how things are progressing in Allenwood?)? Finally, who was WIllow talking about when she said "Still alive and still slaying"? Was there a time when they thought Gigi might be dead? I mean, they always knew that Faith was still alive....

Spoiler Space for Discussion of Ep 1X03 - - - - - - - - - - - - I see I'm not the only one who thinks Silas isn't exactly the world's most menacing vampire-this little rebellion didn't work out so well for the rebels but I don't think Silas is really capable of keeping the troops under his control. However, Jack continues to give me the chills. He's quite a nasty piece of work-we see here just how cowardly and downright mean he is. I hope our team doesn't underestimate him-he seems like someone who always has another slimy trick up his sleeve. I didn't understand the line about the existence of more Slayers making vampires less scared of them-wouldn't the existence of more Slayers make vampires more nervous? Criminals are a lot more intimidated by there being a lot of cops then they would be if there was just one cop... The look at David's background was interesting-as were the hints that he may have a greater destiny than he realises... The question now, I guess,is is his presumably ex-girlfriend still alive? I liked seeing that Erin and Kristen already seem to have adopted David as a surrogate parent-whether he likes it or not. It's probably the best thing that could happen to him-he seems to actually need the responsibility-but somehow I don't think he'd agree with that Best wishes, Scott

I'd like to think so - we are still trying to contact Dave but until he returns our "calls" then the chances are slim.
