Now the three prologue episodes are out, V3 is about to get rolling! Here's a place to discuss the volume!

The opening episode is good, with the escape of 2 of the mutants to an underground tunnel. I already enjoy Marrow as he seems an interesting character, while Masque could also be interesting.
Good to see Emma Frost still around, and it seems a dangerous path for Xavier now.
Be interesting to see where this season goes as by the looks of it, they are gonna be locked away with the special collars, which I presume stop them from either using their powers or deny them from leaving a certain area without there head exploding? Already the opening 3 episodes are leading us down a very dark path of storyline.

It's the former, the collars stop them from using their powers and they'll become very important throughout the Volume.
These were only the prologue episodes too to give you a little taster of what to expect - the real action starts in tomorrows episode, the first official episode of Volume Three.

Nice first episode to season three. Enjoyed it, and good sense of the imprisonment the mutants find themselves in and lack of power that now possess thanks to the collars. Plus Brask has the President's balls in his hand, so to speak and looks like he's about to start world war 3 between them all with his plans from early indications.

The prequels have nicely set up where everyone is for the start of Volume 3.
The first showed us those still on the outside and the second concentrted on Xavier. Because of this I was surprised that prequel three was so short and only looked at Colossus. I'd half expected to get a look round the compound at the others just so we'd see what state they were in so Volume three could jump right in.
Not that it really matters, the prequels did the job and we're in a place to learn more about Trask's plan for the mutants.
Part One - So the two rival groups are all in quite a bit of trouble. Not only are they stuck without their powers but Trask is coming across as a very smart individual. If he's capable of controlling the President there isn't much that will stand in his way. Only a couple of format mistakes but in a seven page script there probably shouldn't be any. Didn't take away from the reading at least. I like that you've thrown the mutants into this together and they'll have to come to some kind of understanding if they want to stay alive. Always the best way to get some conflict and to get some home truths revealed.

I'm glad you both enjoyed the prequels and the first episode! I chose to focus the third prologue episode on Colossus because his life hangs in the balance as of the S2 finale, what with him being pushed off a tall building. I felt like doing any more prologues would be pushing it. We establish the status quo for most of the characters and you'll find out what Rogue and Shadowcat are up to very soon.
Trask is definitely a slippery villain and he's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Plus, he's working with Emma who has proven herself to be quite the manipulator in previous volumes. Hopefully you get the sense that there's a real threat in this volume, even moreso than in volume two.

I'm only just catching up now but I like where this season is going so far. I couldn't get episode 2 to open but I don't know if that's a problem with my computer or if anyone else has had the same problem? I really like some of the new characters that have been introduced and I find Emma Frost fascinating. I like all the small interactions with Bobby and Jean too I noticed a few spelling errors here and there as well, nothing major but just something to be aware of.

Very glad you're enjoying this season. Isn't it such a thrill ride? (I adored writing 3x06. Emma may be one of my favourite characters I've ever written...)

Just caught up with the latest episodes. A wonderful story going on, with the attempted capture of the Mutants and the hopeful rescue of them by the others. Frost is definitely one of my favourites of the characters, she comes across as a Jeckyl & Hyde type character, torn between Mutant and Humanity.
So far enjoying every episode, and hope keep coming. Trask definitely matches up as the villain of the piece, and worth it. Nice to see some other characters get a chance to shine also.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! In my opinion, this is the most epic volume by far and I'm glad you think Trask matches up as a villain. The whole volume would fall flat if you didn't think Trask was a real menace.
The great thing about this volume is the diversity of the characters. It's been a challenge finding voices for them all but it's been fun to let the new characters shine.
