Thank you for all the kind words. It's great to hear I've got another reader out there and a fan no less!
Ya know, I'm not even really sure how I came up with that teaser. That whole episode changed so many times before it aired that it's all a blur. I think I just wanted to finally show Justin in a safe and peaceful place for a few minutes before I started wrecking his life again.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I eagerly anticipate your reviews.

HAH! I totally understand that man! The deleting and all of that. The greatest enemies of the created is their creators. Justin forgives you. Somewhere in his: "I'll get you next time Dex, NEXT TIME!," heart I am sure. <3

Review: 2.01 //
I am going to write this as I read, so that way I don't leave anything out that I might forget later on. =D
Act One: - I thought Curtis was amazing. I enjoy people who have that kind of sway with words, able to turn get people to turn a blind eye to the hard truth of the matter. At least for the sake of giving them a peace of mind. And your voice of him was like perfect, I could actually just see this old guy standing up there with a hint of a southern accent and charm to him. I like him so far, however, if he turns into a crazy nut-job later on, I will LOVE him. XD
- I don't like Vince. And if I was Tanya, I woulda' slapped him silly. "Don't you talk to me like that douche. If you want it so badly, get it yourself!" XD
- JACKASS! You even called him Jackass!! XDDD That made me crack up.
- Oooo. Sick burn Robert. Sick burn. That'll keep Jackass on his toes. I like this kid already.
- Aww! Curtis and Helen! /tears for them. The more I read up on Curtis the more I love that guy. =D
Act Two: - Poor Karl. I think I saw a reference to something you made in the umm.. graphics forum? Kid Cann Liquors? Maybe not. XD But that seems oddly familiar, if it is a reference, I do that all the time. Thought that was awesome.
- I am not sure how I feel about Hamilton right now. I hope that you convey some sort of imperfection before the end of the series. Beautiful. Surrounded by men of whom she commands and is a near perfect shot. I hope her character gets a little more angles. But then again, it is the first episode. XD
- /rage Karson is a creeper! That is exactly what GLEN BECK does. Connects dots that aren't there! So instead of just leaving paranoia to her work in other places, they go and think that is the best idea ever? Poor Justin. Bout to be hell again for that kid. XDD
Act Three: - HA DEATH BY HAMMER. I get weird pleasure out of people killing creatures like that. /roots for Robert!
- God Dammit RUDY! It's always a Rudy! "What happened." "Rudy." Nuff said. XDD I found that hilarious.
- On page 39, it confused me when Dale asks if Dale's got it in him to kill someone. Then I realized he didn't say that cause he walked away. Minor little bump there, cause here I thought he started: "We wants the preciouses." XD Dale, you so Cray Cray.
Act Four: - Dupree is pretty funny. I hope you don't murder him later one. But in zombie stories, I know not to hold my breath. XD
- YAY KARL COMES TO SAVE THE DAY AND ISN'T DRUNK! =D Way to go older brother! Bout time these two were together! Thank God, I was going to shit a brick if Justin ate lead.
ALRIGHT! Those are all of my favorite parts or things I needed to write down about the episode. Now here is a more indepth review.
I really enjoy this series. It reminds me of a book I found perusing my kindle store. I always love books by writers I have never heard of. About camps of people, surviving behind walls from hordes of zombie hell spawn. It's alluring to me the extent of human sustainability. No matter what, life continues, and I think you have perfectly captured those extents. =D
There are a few characters I love and there are those that I think should go fall in a hole and die, but that doesn't mean I love the story any less because of it. In fact, having characters I hate really makes me want to read more. Curtis is by far my favorite character. I REALLY enjoy him. I look forward to seeing more of him.
Teenage kids bother me to no end. Here in California they are wretched. So I have a hard time leveling with them. (I avoid teen ANYTHINGS like the plague) BUT. There are a few of your younger characters I do like and I cannot wait to see how you force them to grow later on down the line!
I hereby give this episode an: 9.5/10 I really liked it yo! Can't wait to get into the others! =D

Yeah, Curtis is one of my favorites too so it means a lot to hear you feel the same. I remember in a couple reviews for Season One people said they disliked him, but I can’t really remember why.
Well, last season Vince proved he’s not above smacking her around when she crosses him and I think that’s still pretty fresh in Tanya’s mind. Glad you don’t like him though. That’s what he’s there for… at the moment.
It’s so much fun to write a character who’s such a Jackass he doesn’t even deserve a real name!
You are right. I used Kid Cann Liquors in an image on my “Super-Punk” thread. “Caydem Falls” takes place in my home state of Minnesota and Kid Cann was like our Al Capone back in the prohibition era. I think Caydem Falls is the third time I’ve used that Liquor Store name.
Hamilton and Karson are both victims of the fact that it’s really hard to tell these character’s backstory’s within the context of the series without totally pulling the audience out of the current story. The only way to tell those tales are through flashbacks, or to just have the character sit down and talk about it for awhile. Things move so fast in this series (season one was pretty much in real time) that things just start to feel extremely disjointed when you do stuff like that.
They’ve both got some pretty deep shit in their past though and I hope to touch on it a bit more in season three. Hamilton’s was slightly eluded to somewhere in Season One but I have a lot of notes on her and would love to get into it in more detail at some point.
If Rudy’s in a scene you can pretty much just assume he’s gonna mess things up pretty bad.
Nice catch! That was supposed to be Jim’s line. I reread that episode at least ten times and never saw that little goof.
Oh, Karl is very drunk in that scene. It’s hard to capture without going overboard and ruining the moment but him stumbling over Jim’s dead body is meant to reflect how much he’s taken in.
For me I tend to just hate the way teens are portrayed in movies and TV. I so rarely see a teenage character that I can level with. Even when I WAS a teenager I couldn’t relate to what I saw on TV. I like to think Justin, Robert, and even Shelly and Adam put a little different spin on teenagers than we’re used to seeing. That’s as much as I can say without getting into spoiler territory.

Episode Three “Airborne”
Wrong again. I pretty much thought there was noway you’d kill off Helen in that way but you totally did. Even though it was very surprising I can’t say I was all that upset about it. Helen just never really stood out as a compelling character to me.
I don’t know why but I kinda like the uneasy partnership of Ben and Vince. I can’t help but think that Ben is going to somehow screw Vince and end up with everything.
I didn’t think it was possible but I hate Duncan even more now. His quarantine plan has to be the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard. He dies soon, right?
On the flipside I have to say that I’m completely in love with Tanya right now. I never thought I’d say that after the way she screwed so many characters last season but she finally seems to be evolving into a decent person.
The Walker Men and their funeral for Helen has also been a highlight. Very dark stuff and Curtis once again gets to make a very powerful and emotional speech.
It’s nice to see Hamilton get a little more emotion to her. Her conflict with Duncan and the whole morality about the quarantine was a nice touch. Also she got to team up with Karl for a bit so that was awesome. I could totally see these two being an awesome pair in the future.
Poor little Katie. I couldn’t imagine a grown person having to go through what she did in that quarantine.
Tanya and Katie trapped in the quarantine barracks was probably one of the more intense moments the series has seen and I love how even though Karl and Hamilton eventually saved the day Tanya was more than capabile of fighting for herself for quite sometime.
The title was misleading as hell but like I said in the last review I'm kinda glad about that. The disease going airborne would have totally changed the show and not in a good way.
I'm excited to see all three Walker Brothers out on a mission together. Should be interesting.

Yeah, I've kinda always hated how TV tends to end an episode on the tease that a major character is about to die. I hate it because said character always finds some way to escape death in the opening two minutes of the next episode. I went the opposite way with it.
Helen never really became what I wanted her to be. The story just kept evolving in ways that were more interesting than what I could ever come up with for her. That probly made killing her off the hardest. It felt like giving up.
The answer to both is, keep reading.
Tanya kind of surprised me. I always wanted to find a way to redeem her after season one but it wasn't until very late in that season that I came up with the idea of pairing her with Katie. I think just the idea of her having someone she cares about more than herself goes a long way towards making her a bit more human than we've seen her in the past.
It was kind of important for me to allow Tanya to sort of hold her own while trapped in a room with so many Zombies. I wanted to present her as more than just a damsel in distress that needed a man to come and save her. Although, Karl does eventually come to the rescue I think it was presented in a way that her being a woman is not the reason she needed rescuing. If Karl had been locked up in that room he wouldn't have stood a chance without help.
It sure was! I thought long and hard about calling it "Airborne?" but I thought the question mark would make it far too obvious that the disease was not actually airborne.
