There's no such thing as failing in writing. Sometimes you're not ready for a project, but that's something else completely. You'll do fine.

I would highly recommend writing for one of our (or somewhere elses) existing shows. It gives you a little bit of experience and also gives you some support, as unlike venturing out on your own, you have the guidance of the showrunner helping you through it.

What I find hard about writing for someone else is the fact that you don't KNOW the characters the same way that the showrunner/creator does? I know that this topic is the right place to discuss this but since you brought it up Someone on MZP invited me to write an episode on their show but I'm finding it very difficult to know the characters and how they operate. BUT...If someone out there has an episode that I could play around with that's fine I would love all the practice I can get and plus it would be nice to write for other shows

That is a downside, I know. But if your a fan of the show, if you've read everything they've released then you should be able to get a good grasp of how the characters work. But understand how difficult it can be and I feel your pain. ;D

Mistakes Rectified -- 1x05 Sorry it has been awhile since the last review. I've been trying to get my show (pitch) up and running on schedule and I've fallen behind in all my other shows Ohwell, good episode once again. I can honestly say that the way you have it...I like it. It keeps my attention and keeps me coming back for more. Vince and his goons are still coming and it looks that they finally caught up to them (by the end of the episode) I'm excited to see whether or not Vince turns into a zombie or dies or actually makes thinks right with Karl...yeah right I enjoyed the "Flashbacks" I don't know why everyone has such a hard time with those but they seemed quite fine by me. It's kind of nice to be able to go back and fill in the empty spaces. I liked the "Drug Dealer" scene where he turned into a zombie and ripped the one person that was buying drugs. I can say that it's a very visually stunning read at times with the zombie scenes I think any angle that is communicated now pertaining to the zombies is quite interesting...wierd things happening and not yet being explained. Like what happened at the sod farmhouse...was it just an all out battle that every died except for this young soldier that killed himself?? Everything else was great also. I'm kind of in a hurry at work here so I don't think there is anything else. It will be interesting with Justin's story with the one guys being bitten...I think that will happen in the next episode. 8/10 - Good Episode!

Mistakes Rectified -- 1x05 Sorry it has been awhile since the last review. I've been trying to get my show (pitch) up and running on schedule and I've fallen behind in all my other shows No rush. I wouldn't wanna be the guy that keeps you from your own work. Honestly, the flashback episode that most of the previous reviews are referring to was pretty damn horrible. I'll admit that. It was initially a two parter that was about 90% flashbacks. The bulk of them were quite pointless. When it came time to release the vDVD I did a massive overhaul and trimmed it down to one episode. Hence the title "Mistakes Rectified". Not something I'm proud of, but I figure this is the first season of my first series so I'd treat it like a learning experience. A chance to fix my faults. From now on though I'm doing my best to get things right on the first try and if I don't, I'll just have to live with it. I'm glad you liked the episode though as I think I've got some ideas for another flashback episode but I'm not sure when/if I'll get to it. There's actually a story behind what happened in the Sod Field before our characters get there that was going to be told in either a "one-shot" episode or a movie that would follow Sgt. McCawley and the National Guard before, during and after season one. That just never happened as the second half of that proposed story has ended up in season two. I might rip off Alden and try to do a series of "webisodes" that revolve around the Guardsmen. Who knows. As is I don't think it's really vital to the ongoing story of Caydem Falls, but it is a story I wanna tell.

I think they'd definitely be an audience for it, so if it's something you want to do, then I say go for it!

I can honestly say that I would definitely check it out. You're very entertaining in the storytelling field so go for it. AND, don't worry you're not keeping me from my story...I am

Fallout -- 1x06I finally got back to finishing up with Caydem Falls. I don't know why I got away from it or what, but I'm back for the last couple of episodes. I think the one thing I really like about CF is that it stops and continues right after the last episode. I couldn't believe that Pitt is dead now - I thought Ben was going to be dead also because I thought I saw the mention of him shot in the chest but I guess it was just a graze. Justin's situation is quite interesting. I know deep down he's going to make it to CF, but I think what's going to happen is the Walkers are going to get to CF and realize that he's not with the family of his girlfriend and then they'll go out on a search party for him. Vince's character (after seeing the zombies) is now with Karl and the gang and working with them to survive. That's kind of cool but I guess something could happen there. 8/10

Alternate Routes -- 1x07Yet another episode down towards the season finale...the next episode. I'm excited to see what the ending is going to be, because we're finally at CF and season is over. I know that not everybody can survive and I'm not going to mention anything in my review in case someone stumbles upons CF and wants to know what it's about. I'm getting a feeling with "Vince" that he's now swaying towards the good side since they are closing in on safety. What was the deal with Tanya and taking the car? Hmm, to get away and take the drugs with her? I'm must say that the "one" possible with the Walker's, that was disappointing. I was wondering if they would have a vaccine at CF. I'm hoping for Justin to make it safely to CF, but it looks as if they are getting detoured. 8/10
